Tuition Fees
Aged under 19?
If you are aged 18 or under on 31st August before you start your course you will not have to pay. If your course starts in the January and you have turned 19 between then and the previous September, you will be treated as a 19+ learner.
Aged 19 or over?
Unless you qualify for a Level 2 or 3 Entitlement you will have to pay for your course. The price you pay is a combination of a tuition fee, an enrolment fee, a materials charge and in addition, where applicable, a qualification fee. Please ask us for specific fee information, but expect to pay around £1500. If you are going to study a Foundation Degree, fees will be higher, however you may be able to get help through your Local Authority or a Student Loan Company - ask Student Services for advice.

• If you feel that you may be eligible, please contact our Finance Office for clarification.
• If you are eligible, you will need to complete an 'Entitlement Self Declaration Form' at the Finance Office when paying for the Enrolment, Materials and Qualification Fees for the course.
Overseas Students
Students who are normally resident in another country, or do not qualify for UK residency status, will be required to pay a tuition fee of £4,500. Students who are resident in a European Union State or its dependencies will pay the standard rate shown in the prospectus.
Instalments
Payment by instalment is subject to a £5 administration charge. For two instalments, payment should be made by means of a post-dated cheque, or authorisation for payment from credit/debit cards. For other instalments, payment should be made by standing order. Dates for instalment plans should be arranged with the Finance Office. In cases of financial hardship, any other instalment arrangement must first be approved by the Finance Office. No student will be allowed to commence the course without evidence of payment. Cash instalments are not available. The fee must be paid in full by the end of the course.
Instalment Plan
• Up to £100 2 instalments
• £100 - £200 3 instalments
• Over £200 4 instalments
Cancellation of programmes and refunding of fees
If a course is cancelled by the College, every effort will be made to offer a suitable alternative. If this is not possible, a full refund will be offered.
Should a student wish to withdraw from a course, they should inform the College at the earliest opportunity. In such cases refunds will only be given on medical grounds or in exceptional circumstances. Students seeking a refund will be required to apply in writing to the Finance Office within one calendar month of withdrawal. If approval is granted, an amount pro rata to attendance will be retained together with 5% of the remaining tuition fee. The enrolment, materials and qualification fees are non-refundable.
If a student withdraws before the beginning of a course, a decision on the amount to be refunded will be taken on an individual basis. We will need to consider factors such as whether the College has already purchased materials and undertaken the qualification entry.
Fees cannot be held over from one academic year to another.
Fees are non-transferable - a refund request should be submitted to the College and the student wishing to take the place should enrol in the normal way.
Financial Assistance
The Principal has delegated authority under the financial regulations to reduce or waive fees where charging the normal fee would cause hardship or prevent study taking place. In such instances, if a person wishes to apply for a fee reduction or waiver they must apply in writing to the Director Academic. In most cases financial assistance should be obtained via the Learner Support Fund. Assistance can also be given for a variety of different needs such as tuition and exam fees, child care, transport and books. Assistance may be available even if you do not qualify for a concession. Please contact Student Services or Admissions for an application form.
