Sport and Public Services
If you enjoy working with people, this subject area will prepare you for a wide range of different careers, from sports & leisure to armed and emergency services. Whichever course you choose, there are also opportunities to gain additional qualifications in First Aid, Sports Leadership and the National Navigation Award Scheme. As an optional extra with these courses, you can also join our Football Academy.
Course: Uniformed Public Services, Level 3 , National Certificate BTEC
Before I came to College I was working full-time as a life guard, swimming instructor and fitness instructor. The best parts of the course are the trips away. Once we built a raft, which was brilliant fun, but it didn't quite go as planned! I also use some of my current skills to help train the other students on the Football Academy. I've got another year to go, but eventually I hope to join the forces and be a paramedic.
