Little Learners - Childcare Facilities


Little Learners Nursery, at the College's main site, is purpose-built and provides a 48 place childcare setting. Little Learners caters primarily for students of the College, however there are places available to children of staff and members of the community. The Nursery is open between 8.45am - 5.15pm and operates all year (excluding bank holidays). Little Learners is registered for children aged six weeks to five years and is divided into two areas, one area for babies and toddlers and one for pre-school children. The Nursery also has two secure outdoor areas. Little Learners provides a mid morning snack, cooked lunch and mid afternoon snack and menus are displayed on the parents' notice board.

Little Learners is inspected by Ofsted Early Years and we have a qualified and experienced team of 14 childcare practitioners.

Care to Learn
Childcare support for young parents aged 16-20, who wish to enrol and continue education. Financial support is available from the government for childcare to be provided whilst the young parent is attending the course. Free Childcare for Training & Learning for Work scheme
This new scheme is aimed at a specific group of people. Families, where one parent is employed and working over 16 hours each week, the other not in work, aged 20 or over and looking to go into learning. Families who are unable to access the childcare element of working tax credit because of caring responsibilities. Families with dependent children and a household income of £20,000 earned income only or below in the previous tax year.
