An apprenticeship is made up of a number of qualifications referred to as a framework. Not all frameworks include all elements, but as a general rule they include:
Competence based qualification
Knowledge based qualification
English
Maths
ICT
Employment rights and responsibilities
Personal learning and thinking skills
These qualifications are achieved by a combination of on the job training and off the job training, usually with one day a week at College.
