Apprenticeships - funding
The Government will fund 100% of the training costs for a 16-18 year old. However, since October 2010, funding for 19+ learners has been limited to 50% of a Level 2, 3 or 4 Apprenticeship. At Norton Radstock College we try to keep fees as low as possible, so we have chosen not to transfer the remaining 50% costs to the employer and ask merely for a contribution based upon the level of Apprenticeship .
Reducing your training fees
We also offer a Payment in Kind (PIK) plan, where you can reduce your fees by offering services to the College. For example:
- Internship (long term one day a week work experience) = £100 reduction
- One week industry update for College staff = £100 reduction
- Additional Apprentice = £100 reduction
- Group tour/visit to your premises = £50 reduction
- Team member to talk to students in College = £25 reduction
