Animal Care
If you've always dreamed about working with animals, our newly refurbished Animal Care Centre, is just the place for you. It's our dedicated hub of animal activity and home to all sorts of rodents, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and creepy crawlies. When you join us, you will also get to increase your knowledge with visits to places like Bristol Zoo, rescue centres, veterinary museums and some great work placement opportunities.
Course:
Work-based Diploma in Animal Care, Level 1
"When I was at school I went on work experience at a vet's and really enjoyed it. I've also got lots of animals at home, so choosing animal care as a career was easy. Everyone said that this College is good. I've learnt lots, especially health checking, cleaning and working together as a team. Every Friday I go on work placement at Horseworld, now I've been offered a weekend job there as a result. I plan to carry on and study for my Level 2 and then 3."
