Level 1 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills
A beginners course that will equip you with a basic range of skills necessary to meet the demands of the modern workplace.

What will I study?
The following units are available. Your options will be discussed and agreed at enrolment

• Improving Productivity (mandatory unit)
• Word Processing and file management
• Spreadsheets and graphs
• Databases
• Desktop Publishing
• Presentations (PowerPoint)
• Internet and Email

Concessions available

Level 2 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills
For those who already have some IT experience. Candidates can tailor the qualification to suit their own needs.

What will I study?
IThe following units are available. Your options will be discussed and agreed at enrolment.

• Improving Productivity (mandatory unit)
• Integrated document production
• Spreadsheets and graphs
• Databases
• Desktop Publishing
• Presentations (PowerPoint)
• E-Communications

European Computer DrivingLicence (ECDL)
Internationally recognised qualification suitable for students who have basic IT knowledge.

ECDL Essentials (Level 1) -
You will gain an initial overview of computer use through studying the following three units:
• IT User Fundamentals
• Using Email and the Internet
• Security for IT Users

ECDL Extra (Level 2) -
This Level is designed to give you in-depth knowledge and understanding of computer use through the following four units:
• Word Processing
• Spreadsheets
• Presentations
• Improving Productivity Using IT
