Health & Social Care Level 2 National Certificate OCR
This course will be especially interesting to students who have a dedicated interest in the care, support and health of people, and enjoy studying topics that are important to the health care professional. This course is also for students who want the opportunity to carry out practical work as well as class work, and who are interested in developing an understanding of caring organisations and the people they help and support. The National Certificate is made up of six units (2 Mandatory and 4 Specialist). The course can also be used as an entry qualification to a Level 3 programme and ultimately into Higher Education. All units are centre assessed and externally moderated by an examiner from OCR. The full award and units from this qualification are graded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction.

Child Care & Education Level 3 Diploma CACHE
This progressive level 3 course is designed to meet the needs of people who would like to follow a career working and supporting children. Particular importance is placed on the enhancement of practical skills, acquiring in depth knowledge and confidence that are essential when working with children and young people. This course integrates attending College with placements at valued Childcare employers to increase and enlarge vocational skills and experience. This qualification permits students to progress into paid employment or move onto higher education.

Access To Higher Education Level 3 Certificate OCN
Access to Higher Education is a programme designed for mature students who wish to progress to a university to study for a degree or a Foundation Degree in caring or general subject related professions. Access is appropriate for those returning to education after a number of years, for example in employment, bringing up a family or having a career break. An Access to Higher Education course is open to suitable applicants with sufficient interest and commitment. The course is offered on a full time and part time basis at the college's main site.
