This intensive programme covers the skills required to enable students to carry out basic beauty therapy services. The focus is on the general beauty therapy pathway as the mandatory requirement, with the optional units of reception and make-up skills. You will be working to the new NOS in Beauty Therapy.Students will develop their basic skills. First Aid at Work will also form part of this programme .

Beauty Therapy Level 3 NVQ VTCT
This programme is the NVQ3 Beauty Therapy route and is the required skill competence for those candidates wishing to progress their career to working on Cruise Ships. You will study and demonstrate the following skills in the College realistic Salon. Epilation using diathermy, galvanic and blend techniques, Head and body massage. Electro-therapy for both face and body and spray tanning treatments. The programme is enhanced with additional qualifications that include the Level 3 Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology and Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy. Mandatory 2 week work placement

Hairdressing Level 2 NVQ C&G
A one year intensive hairdressing programme covering all the skills required to enable students to carry out the basic hairdressing services offered in a hairdressing salon. The qualification comprises nine mandatory units to cover basic practical skills and related underpinning knowledge. After training you will be required to demonstrate competence on paying clients in the College professional working salon. The programme is enhanced with certificates in First Aid and Basic/key Skills.
