Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Level 2 Certificate IMI
A one year, level 2 qualification by IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) that builds on skills gained at level 1. You will develop an awareness of the industry and gain competence and experience within the motor vehicle workshops, carrying out routine maintenance and inspection of vehicles with diagnosis of common faults. The course will also cover a BTEC 1st Level 2 in Motor Vehicle. Key Skills at Level 2 in Application of Number, Communication and IT. You will be required to carry out several practical assessments supported by written reports. Underpinning knowledge will be tested by written and computer based tests. You will be supported by qualified staff during your training programme; tutorials and course reviews will help you to set targets and monitor progress.

Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Level 3 Diploma IMI
This is a full-time programme covering the required units to gain a diploma in motor vehicle maintenance. It is a follow-on course from the technical certificate at level two and covers the required underpinning knowledge for the NVQ light vehicle maintenance and repair programme. The course will have practical based assessments and both on-line and paper based tests. You will be supported by a fully qualified assessor throughout your training on this programme.
